Who We Are
The Dutiful Daughter was founded in 1970 by Jane Wlochowski with a simple mission: to help families navigate life’s transitions with care, integrity, and respect. For more than 40 years, Jane and her family have supported individuals and families who are downsizing, moving into retirement communities, or coping with the loss of a loved one.
What began as a small family business has grown into a trusted, multi-generational company. Jane has since passed the reins to her son, Aaron, who oversees day-to-day operations, and today the third generation, Connor, has joined the business—continuing the family’s tradition of compassionate, professional service.
In the fall of 2014, The Dutiful Daughter expanded operations to Massachusetts. With the full support of the Wlochowski family, Sean McAdam opened and has successfully operated the Massachusetts office, upholding the same core values and client-first philosophy that define our company.

The Dutiful Daughter is a fully insured third generation family-owned business helping people make transitions in their lives. Clients are treated to an honest assessment of their situation and we tailor our services to your needs. All houses are custom priced based on square footage, amount of contents and conditions of the home.

Full Service Content Removal
- Sorting all items in the house into 3 categories
- Items to sell for our clients
- Items to donate
- Disposal of other items
- Leaving house empty and "broom swept" clean
De-Cluttering
- Work side by side providing advice
- Room by room decision making
- Remove unwanted items
- Sell, donate or dispose of these as they are removed
- Helps remove "junk"
- Helps get house ready for real estate market
Dump Run/Junk Removal
- Removal of unwanted items from any area of your house
- Two staff for two hours to fill our 16 foot box truck up to 1,250 lbs.
Estate and Tag Sale Operations
This service is only offered where there's a large amount of items to be sold
Rates & Fees
Most services are customized priced for each client. Our pricing is based on the amount of time and effort needed for us to complete our services and meet your needs. Each house has a different volume and nature of the items within. We will come out to provide a free estimate and assessment to insure that our services will meet your needs.
Minimum Charge
Starting at $595 (2 staff for up to 2.5 hours), does not include disposal costs
Dumpster
Starting at $595 (for disposal of items) 15 yard dumpster – Includes pick up and delivery of dumpster and up to three (3) tons of debris. Dumpster companies do charge additional fees for mattresses placed in dumpsters. Does not include labor to fill dumpster
Dump Run/Junk Removal
The Dump Run/Junk Removal service price starting at $1,095.
Mattresses
Starting at $45 each piece – fee to disposal of mattresses and box springs at landfill, (i.e. $90 per set)
Tires
Starting at $15 each (no rims), $45 each (with rims)
Piano Removal
Piano Removal starting at $435 – under certain situations and upon request only.
Pool Table Removal
We do not handle this service but can make arrangements with and a professional pool table mover on behalf of our clients.
